Our corporate social responsibility

CloudAnalysts has always taken its corporate social responsibility seriously, well before it became popular to market this. E.g. we have taken the 1% pledge and we volunteer; we give our consultants the support & space they need; in terms of net zero-endeavours: we plant trees, we drive hybrid, we endeavour to shop local and organic; and recycle/reuse/avoid use. This is who we are.

Our 1% Pledge

Our 1%+ Pledge of Giving Back.   Being a specialist consulting company, we give 1% of our most precious good, i.e.  time of our talented, knowledgeable consultants.  We do this by integrating our community contributions into our professional work, at every opportunity. For years, we’ve been giving far more than 1%.



1% Pledge recipient – 2022

In 2022, we have taken our 1% Pledge up by a couple of notches, volunteering for more than 1%, offering our unique talents and abilities to the community.

Here is Jimson Lee on TV at the World Athletics championships in Eugene, US. Together with Frank Dick, Jimson hosted and organised the Oregon22 Coaches Club for the Global Professional Coaches Alliance.

The club shares top-level Track and Field coaching insights with all coaches publicly, making olympic-level coaching advice available to underprivileged countries and regions. This way, the world becomes more of a level-playing field when it comes to Track & Field.

The event was sponsored by World Athletics (registered charity) for the Oregon22 Coaches Club:

  • 10 days expert panel review
  • 10 presentations from expert coaches & sport scientists
  • 10 Interviews from a medal winning coach here in Oregon22.

Jimson’s 1% pledge will amount to more like 10% rather than 1% of his professional time this year.

1% Pledge Recipient – 2021

In 2021, the recipient of our 1% Pledge was The Cares Family. This organisation works hard to reduce the loneliness in UK’s big cities, by bringing older and younger neighbours together so everyone can feel part of a changing world, rather than left behind by it. The contributions were made by Astrid van Dorst personally and CloudAnalysts is happy to further their cause.

1% Pledge – prior years

CoderDojo Brighton

As an officially approved STEM-ambassador, we have offered marketing & management support as well as coding support to CoderDojo Brighton. We promoted & helped organise Saturday sessions. We pay special attention and offer additional to all young, future #womenintech that today may be just 5-year-old.

Besides teaching them actual skills, we worked on build their confidence, praising their talents and efforts, and daring them to step up to the plate of shining in front of big group of buddy boys in tech. And they are doing it, we can proudly say.  And they are learning to enjoy technology.

Over the years we’ve done many hours. Today, our focus in on supporting head office with marketing automation challenges, when the occasion arises.

Salesforce User Groups

For over 5 years now, have we lead 2 Salesforce User Groups: the Brighton Admins Group and the London Salesforce Marketing Cloud User Group.

As official Brighton Salesforce User Group – organisers, we work on furthering the CRM, Pardot but also project management and related skills to our Brighton, UK community. We have a quarterly speaker schedule featuring innovative presentations and live demos by leaders in their field.

In the London Salesforce Marketing Cloud user group we focus on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud only, bringing expert topics that relate to advanced sales and marketing and Salesforce Martech adoption. This user group has a worldwide reach.

Giving is a Corporate Social Responsibility

Anita Roddick, The Body Shop, Body and Soul, a social business inspiration

Our first inspiration was Anita Roddick – whom we learned from many years ago.

In fact, it was decades ago, in a hip Brighton warehouse, she started a no-packaging cosmetics business. She called it… The Body Shop.  (Yes, she’s the founder of this well-known worldwide brand.)

There was no animal testing; only ingredients that are good for human bodies. Her waste-free formula was of course also good for the environment. And, she made the Body Shop a fun place to work. Roddick was ahead of her time, and a true role model for us today.

As Salesforce Consultants who took the 1% pledge, we are proud to have worked/are continuing to work for non-profits and higher education institutions such as Raspberry Pi; CoderDojo; and University of Winchester.

We are in business to make the world a better place. And so we also actively support companies who have the same charter. Which is why we’re pleased to also support companies like CreateFertility, healthcare clinics specialising in mild IVF that’s safer for women and babies.

Our commitment to Community – Inclusion

Inclusion is fundamental to who we are as people at CloudAnalysts. Some highlights:

We’ve been happily supporting our woman developer, first during her pregnancy and now the baby years. She prefers to work part-time for us, and that’s fine. We are thrilled to have a fantastic marketing cloud developer who does great work for our clients, and is gay. Our company is woman-owned. We have a consultants working with us who are British Asian and white. We are a boutique consultancy that’s full of colour!

Our commitment to the Environment

Striving to go beyond net-zero: let’s be Net-Positive!

As company owners we are increasingly focused on reducing our total carbon footprint as a company and as individuals. Today, we plant trees, drive hybrid, shop local and organic. We recycle, reuse, compost, and avoid use of and purchasing products that come with plastic.

During the pandemic, we made the choice to only use offices when needed/desirable, further reducing our consultants’ commuting time and its impact on the environment.

In 2023, we intend to be responsible for planting a 1000 new trees this year. We don’t want to be just ‘net zero‘; We want to be ‘net positive’ and make the world a better place!
