Salesforce as a Career

Salesforce is one of the leading CRM, or customer success platforms in the market. It’s growing at enormous rates, meaning that there will continue to be an abundance of different kinds of jobs available. Particularly new graduates are well advised to explore Salesforce as a career choice.

Alternatively, if you’re an existing IT or marketing professional, you might have started with Salesforce as an ‘accidental Admin’: your company had Salesforce and you had to work with it. And then, there you are. Now part of the Salesforce Ohana (Community). After a few years as Salesforce Admin, you might ponder … : ‘How to make Salesforce your career’? Having come across different types of roles and job titles in the Salesforce world, you might wonder … : ‘Is there a career path here?’

And the answer is: Yes. There are many! Our Brighton Salesforce User Group talk focused on helping you understand possible career options and career progressions with Salesforce.

Event Speaker

We picked Jimson Lee to present his insights and lead the discussion on the topic. Jimson is the Managing Director of CloudAnalysts, Salesforce & Digital Marketing consultancy. He has been a Salesforce user since February 2005, and a consultant since 2009. He certainly has chosen ‘Salesforce as a Career’ for himself, and knows many other types of careers of those around him.

Aspects of Salesforce as a Career

In his presentation, Jimson Lee covered:

  • Types of Salesforce Skill sets, by Role.
  • How to get certified (for free!).
  • The truth about the job market (and salaries!).
  • Inhouse Admin versus Salesforce Consultant.
  • Apprentice programs (we’re hiring).
